ABOUT US

Our story began in Colombia, with humble beginnings and a deep devotion among the Garzon family, with a dream for a family business, and agricultural roots from the generations before.

In 2008, Rich Garzon began the journey of wine production in the Seattle area, while learning from Washington and Oregon growers and producers. After 10 years of work in wine production and raising a family, Rich and Roxanne left the big city and moved to Central Washington in 2018 to learn more about viticulture and the unique terroir and climate conditions that produce the grapes that make Washington wine unique.

This was when the tractor dreams became a reality, and the agricultural aspects of wine making came to life. We fell in love with the climate, the natural beauty of Lake Chelan, and the people who form this community.

In 2023, we partnered with Joe and Karla Moore, who also value family, community, and who seek to maintain a connection to the earth.

We have planted our first vines and look forward to our first harvest and growing our business with our families and inspiring the next generation.

Together we strive to make exceptional Washington wine and provide a place where people can gather for connection, conversation, and fun with friends and family.

La Garza in Spanish is translated as “The Heron”, which is a tribute and root word for the Garzon family as well as to the home of herons in Lake Chelan and the surrounding lakes.

Herons have symbolized wisdom, rebirth, and self-determination in cultures around the world for centuries.
